Coloring My Hair at Home Using Radico Organic Hair Color (Video)

At this point you may already know my obsession with Radico Organic Hair Color from India. They are the first on in the world to be certified 100% organic, because they do not use any synthetic ingredients in their hair dyes.

As I promised in my last blog post, here is a video of how I color my hair at home using Radico Organic Hair Color:

Important reminders about Organic Hair Coloring:

1. Do not compare Organic vs. Chemical Hair Colors

I kept emphasizing this in my video because one must have an understanding of natural products first before trying our Organic Hair Colors. It may take longer and may not produce instant results, but think of the benefits that you will get long term. Organic hair coloring not only colors your hair, it restores it to go back to its healthy state. Check out the last part of my video and you’ll see what I mean 🙂

2. You need to be patient.

The effect of the color will vary depending on the health of your hair. If you have had chemical hair coloring beforehand, you may need to apply it 2-3 times (with 24-hour interval) before you see the color take effect.

3. There is an oxidation period.

Your hair color right after application is not yet the final color. This is because of some herbs that make hair darker over a period of time. Wait for about 5 days to see the real color.

4. Upon mixing the hair color, apply the paste immediately.

I forgot to include this is my video but this one is very important. You want the reaction between the herbs and water to happen in your hair. If you leave the paste for a long time, the reaction will over and will not color your hair properly anymore.

Hope you enjoyed the video and let me know what you think below!
